Reed College seeks a warm and capable person to be our next Campus Visit and Events Coordinator in the Office of Admission. The Campus Visit and Events Coordinator manages event logistics to create memorable and impactful visits for prospective Reed students and their families. This role works closely with the front desk staff of the Office of Admission.

This is full-time role. A full-time work week at Reed College is 37.5 hours and typical work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday with a one-hour unpaid lunch, however this role may require occasional evening and weekend work. Pay for this position is $20/hour.

  • You have at least three years’ experience working in events planning or three year’s experience working in administrative support, with a heavy logistic or planning component.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES  

  • Coordinate events both on and off campus for prospective students and admitted students.  Project plan agendas and assignments, manage registration, catering, room reservations, room set up and event correspondence.
  • Collaborate with other colleges to co-host events, often securing components like accommodations and transportation.
  • Manage visit and event registration to create schedules and forms.  Staff the event registration table at events.
  • Create and maintain planning details for events and programming.
  • Accurately forecast the office’s event budget, and manage expenses within the budget.
  • Correspond with prospective students and families about campus visits and events.  Provide general information about admission to the college.
  • Enter visit and event information into the office’s customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Provide back-up administrative support for the office.
  • Provide back-up administrative support to the Vice President and Dean of Admission and Financial Aid.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that events go smoothly and prospective students and their families have a positive experience.
  • Work collaboratively with the Visit Team to create an informational and positive visit experience for prospective students. 
  • Support the development of student workers.
