Registrar Data and Systems Analyst

Reed College seeks a curious, systems-oriented thinker to be our Registrar Data and Systems Analyst. The Data and Systems Analyst will work as an integral member of our team of six in the Registrar’s Office, helping to ensure data integrity and ease of use of all Registrar systems for students, staff, and faculty.

  • You are able to pivot quickly in your task work. You don’t mind dropping what you are doing if an urgent matter arises. You don’t mind pausing what you are working on to help a colleague.

  • You are able to prioritize and organize your work. You keep track of your own deadlines so your manager doesn’t have to. When you are going to miss a deadline, you let your team know in advance.

  • You are personally committed to equity and it shows in your work. If you don’t already use the concept of data equity in your work, you are excited to learn about it and broaden your equity skillset. 

  • You have at least two to three years of experience working in a full time systems role. It is a plus to have experience working with  higher education systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Registrar’s office and our IT department in maintaining, developing, and implementing Registrar-related technological tools and services.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Registrar office to assess and improve the office’s systems.

  • Develop ad hoc and standard reports for both inside and outside the Registrar office.

  • Manage input and output of the administrative database and ensure data integrity. Provide ongoing database support and training for the Registrar's office.

  • Create and direct test plans in collaboration with users, IT, and vendor partners.

  • Provides campus wide troubleshooting and training related to the Registrar systems.
