Reed College is seeking a proactive and strategic Director of Corporate, Foundation and Government Support reporting to the Senior Director of Major Gifts and Foundation Relations within the development office. The Director will be responsible for cultivating and increasing corporate, foundation and government connections to leverage support for college initiatives. This position has the benefit of working with talented faculty who are leaders in their field, as well as committed staff partners across the college.
The salary for this position is $105,000, annualized. Reed College offers an exceptional benefits package, including comprehensive medical and dental insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with 10% employer contribution (after one year of service), educational assistance for employees and their children, 22 days of paid vacation, 7 paid holidays, half-day Fridays in July and early August, and many campus amenities, such as library borrowing privileges, membership to the campus fitness center, and employee and spouse discounted TriMet bus passes.

- Establish and meet strategic goals through leveraging corporate, foundation and government connections
- Partner with faculty to secure grants
- Establish new and cultivate existing long-term relationships with government agencies and foundation programs in order to help faculty secure grants for important research
- Manage and mentor the Associate Director
- Collaborate with other front-line fundraisers
- Experience as a supervisor and manager of a program
- Experience working with institutional grants
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience and a bachelor’s degree
- An understanding of the values, academic mission, and culture of small liberal arts colleges is highly preferred, although attendance at a liberal arts college is not required
- Campaign experience a plus
