The Enterprise System Administrator manages and supports the servers and applications for the Ellucian Banner Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system currently used at the college, including: monitoring, optimizing, backups, disaster recovery services, installing and rolling out updates and patches, managing application accounts and security, managing related applications and servers, and providing support and basic training for the administrative users of the system.

This position will also include evenings and/or weekends for major production upgrades. This is not a remote position. Salary for this position is $83,000-85,000 per year.
Who You Are

You have knowledge of system administration, scripting, web server administration, and SQL compliant relational database applications, preferably Oracle

What You’ll Do

Plan and complete work related to the design, installation, operation, support, upgrades and maintenance of ERP infrastructure, including software and servers

Maintain releases of ERP applications, collaborating with other IT administrators, developers, and the Reed user community with ongoing planning, development, and testing prior to new service rollouts

Ensure high availability of the ERP system, upgrading the production ERP during nonstandard work hours, generally evenings and weekends

Monitor security alerts and ensure that appropriate patches are applied in a timely fashion; work with developers to patch or upgrade custom code for security compliance

Troubleshoot and manage performance issues in the ERP and associated third party application systems

Collaborate with other IT administrators to plan and administer the system architecture that supports the ERP applications and facilitates integrations with other systems used at Reed

Create and maintain thorough documentation of all ERP customizations

Collaborate with other IT administrators and key administrative data stewards to manage accounts, data and application security, and authentication integration for the ERP

Work with the ERP vendor and other external vendors to ensure the products are stable and functional for Reed’s user base

Keep up-to-date on changes to the ERP technology and capabilities and communicate changes with appropriate teams as needed

Participate in professional conferences, seminars, and classes as needed
Minimum Qualifications

5 years of combined experience with enterprise-wide or similarly complex system/application management, technical implementation, troubleshooting, and end-user support and training
