The Senior Associate Dean of Admission, Communications has primary responsibility for the distribution of admission marketing materials and implements and develops the college’s admission marketing and communication strategy in partnership with the Vice President and Dean of Admission and Financial Aid. This position reports to the Vice President and Dean of Admission and Financial Aid, is under the division of the Vice President and Dean of Admission and Financial Aid, and primarily works on campus interfacing with faculty, staff, and students. This is not a remote position.

This is a full-time, exempt role with typical work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one hour unpaid lunch. Salary for this position is $75,000-81,000 per year. Pay offers are dependent on experience and are determined in conjunction with an internal pay equity assessment. This is an exempt position in grade 7.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead strategy development, goal-setting, and implementation of communication, marketing, and public relations efforts and the multi-year national plan

  • Manage the marketing and communication budget. 

  • Manage executive communications and reports to the Board of Trustees, President's Staff, Senior Staff, Admission and Financial Aid Committee, Faculty, and the campus community. 

  • Coordinates the annual admission and financial aid report for the board and president’s staff. 

  • Works collaboratively with partners inside and outside the institution on marketing and communication plans for Reed admissions content that is accurate, timely, and compelling. 

  • Leads marketing, communication, and data team to produce multi-channel content. Lead Admission Marketing working group.

  • Determines yearly institutional admission goals, evaluate the outcomes of the outreach strategy, and recommend improvements. 

  • Work directly with faculty to create academic collateral, videos, and digital content for existing and new college programs.

  • Serve as the Public Affairs rep for admission and financial aid to plan, produce, review and gather feedback for print and digital admission pieces.

  • Supervises Admission Communication Marketing team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five years of progressively responsible experience preferably in the marketing and communications field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with project management software
