This position's primary responsibilities include cultivating, recruiting, supporting, and stewarding alumni participating in engagement activities. The role builds pathways to fundraising success by deepening engagement among alumni and communicating strategically with alumni in chapter cities. Specific duties include providing support to the Chapter Leadership Council (CLC), managing Reed’s regional engagement initiatives, and supporting the Alumni Board. This position reports to the Director of Alumni Relations and Volunteer Engagement. This is not a remote position.

This is a full-time role with typical work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one hour unpaid lunch. Evening and weekend hours are occasionally required.
Starting salary for this position is $56,800 - $60,800. Pay offers are contingent upon experience and are determined through an internal pay assessment. This is an exempt position in grade 5.

What You’ll Do
- Program Management: Work with volunteer leadership to set measurable outcomes. Create and maintain processes, tools, and resources to ensure program success.
- Event Planning: Develop and implement a calendar of events, ensuring a variety of programs that appeal to alumni of all ages and backgrounds
- Networking Opportunities: Create opportunities for alumni to connect with each other and with current students, faculty, and leadership.
- Class Reunions: Organize and promote class reunions, collaborating with alumni volunteers to execute events that encourage participation and celebration of milestones.
- Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and support alumni volunteers
- Alumni Outreach: Engage with alumni through targeted communications to promote events and reunions, leveraging emails, social media, and phone outreach.
- Relationship Building: Foster and maintain relationships with alumni to encourage participation in events and initiatives. Includes visits with local alumni and occasional domestic travel to build and maintain volunteer relationships.
- Feedback and Evaluation: Collect and analyze feedback to assess the effectiveness of programs and make improvements for future activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across campus to promote events, develop programming, and engage alumni. Work with Alumni Relations team members to ensure consistent policies and practices.
- Database Management: Maintain accurate records of event attendees, participation levels, and engagement metrics in the alumni database.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of experience in fundraising, volunteer and/or program management, community engagement and/or alumni engagement or equivalent experience
