Reed College seeks an organized and driven person to be our next Associate to the VP/Dean of Admission and Financial Aid.  This position is responsible for managing key operational functions within the Enrollment Division, including the student work program, admission visit and events coordination and administration. Serving as a strategic partner on the enrollment leadership team, the role requires a high level of discretion and regularly handles sensitive and confidential information. This role reports to the Vice President and Dean of Admission and Financial Aid. This is not a remote position.

This is a full-time role with typical work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour unpaid lunch. 

Starting salary for this position is $61,000-$69,500. Pay offers are contingent upon experience and are determined through an internal pay assessment. This is an exempt position in grade 6.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary administrative partner to the Vice President/Dean, managing calendar coordination, meeting preparation, scheduling, and note-taking responsibilities. Serve on the enrollment division leadership team. 
  • Lead the Enrollment Division’s visit and events program, including on-campus, off-campus, and virtual programming. Establish recruitment strategies aligned with institutional goals, analyze data, and ensure events meet quality and budget standards. Supervise the visit and events team, providing direction, support, and performance feedback to ensure operational success.
  • Direct the college's student work program, ensuring students have access to application information, conducting training for student workers and supervisors, and providing data and strategic feedback to the VP/Dean.
  • Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the Enrollment Division, ensuring smooth office functioning and efficient processes.
  • Administer the college's Emergency Fund for students, including intake, eligibility tracking, and coordination with related offices.
  • Represent the Enrollment Division in internal and external roles, including service on the Northwest Five College Consortium, the Alliance, and other committees. 
  • Coordinate Admission Support Readers program, NW5 Consortium, AFAC, and Board of Trustees (BOT) support.
  • Arrange and manage the VP/Dean’s travel logistics, including transportation, accommodations, and event registration.
  • Advise and support the VP/Dean on divisional projects, providing strategic input, managing communications, and coordinating implementation.
  • Provide administrative support for faculty and board committees, including meeting logistics, communication, and documentation for the Admission and Financial Aid Committee, the Retention, Persistence, and Graduation Committee, and others as assigned.
  • Negotiate contracts and engage independent contractors, securing services aligned with college policies and financial guidelines.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality of sensitive college information and operations, exercising discretion in all internal and external communications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of office management experience, including administrative office support, admission work,

or financial aid.
